The West York Area High School houses grades nine through twelve. A diverse educational program is offered and students are encouraged to choose courses which will help them succeed in the career of their choice. The majority of graduates go on to post-secondary education or specialized training; the others enter the work force or the military.  
 
The High School operates on a two-semester, four-period-a-day block schedule. Students are provided a solid foundation in core academic courses and a wide variety of electives are available. In addition to core academic electives, students may choose from Arts and Humanities, Business Education, Technology Education, Family and Consumer Science, and World Language electives.

Opportunities are also available for students to attend the local technical school or specialized center on a part-time basis. Career internships and diversified occupations programs are available for seniors.
