REGISTRATION & TUITION

We welcome new students to our school. Registration is now available online by clicking the button to the right.  Once you have completed the online registration please make an appointment to finalize your registration and turn in all forms and documentation.

 

For students who are currently in grades 1-8 please contact our Central Registration Office located at our Middle School by calling (717) 845-1671, x 3016 to set-up your appointment and for students currently in grades 9-12 please contact the West York Area High School at 

(717) 845-6634, x 2016 to schedule your appointment.

 

Remember to bring all completed forms along with the following documents to your registration appointment: (Failure to have all documents will delay registration and another appointment will have to be scheduled)

  • original birth certificate

  • current immunization records

  • two proofs of residency listing the correct address in the parent's or guardian's name:

    • one form must be a current tax bill, original mortgage, agreement of sale, lease, or rental agreement and be signed by both parties;

    • the second should show the identical name and West York address and should be a valid driver's license, valid vehicle owner's card, current utility bill, bank statement, or paycheck stub. A photo ID is preferred.

NON-RESIDENT STUDENTS

A student's parent or legal guardian must live in our district to be able to enroll without paying tuition.  If you are not a resident and would like to attend school in our district, please fill out the tuition application located below, and return it to our district office.

We base the tuition charges for nonresident students on the actual costs of instruction, as calculated according to a formula approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.  Until the figure for the present school year is determined, the West York Area School District will charge tuition fees at the approved tuition rate for the previous year.  When the new rate is approved, we will adjust tuition bills to reflect the increase or decrease instruction costs.

IMMUNIZATIONS

In order for us to enroll your child in school, we need proof that your child is up-to-date on his or her shots. The state of Pennsylvania permits exemptions from vaccinations for personal reasons with the parent’s signature or for medical reasons with the signature of a parent and physician. Please be aware that we can’t allow students without current vaccines to be at school if there is an outbreak of disease. We’ve included the links to the Pennsylvania Department of Health as well as the vaccination requirements for you below.
